Track Name: Groundwork
If the sun burned down
your pathetic little card house
would you just build it back up
without a second thought
of the skies above?

Start somewhere new
Give yourself something to build on
Give yourself a chance

If the rivers rose
To flood your home
Would you just dry it right out
and never consider
moving to higher ground?

If a land slide buried you
And everything you owned
Would you already have arranged
For your family
To mark your home as your grave?

Your life is a house
you build with what you've learned
To protect you. To keep you safe from the world.
But you're picking up the pieces
from every failed design
And forgetting them deep in The back of your mind.

Your mistakes lay the groundwork
It's up to you to build and improve.
Track Name: Anchors
We've moved through
These past few years
With anchors on our feet
And the sidewalks have been worn down by the soles of our shoes. Like tires do to the downtown streets
When it rains those ruts fill to the brim and these anchors drag us under,

They drag us up to our necks and still we move.

I shouldn't have to feel fixed here like the trees I climbed
in years I've left so far behind.
With my roots dug deep against my will
My limbs sway in the wind
Reaching
For a shovel to dig myself out of the ground.

To fall and be free, or decompose
Both are a means of escape
Like wolf in a trap I think I'd rather bite off my leg then die in this place

It's like my life is a glass house
I can see the way out but I'm locked inside and there not a single stone to be found.

Beating my oars against this current, well I might as well be beating a dead horse. Cause I'm getting I'm getting no where I haven't been before.

I can't be the only one.
I guess I'm the only one

So many parts of me are dead now.
That what growing up
Must be about.
So many parts of me died long ago.
Track Name: Rafts & Ropes
We all are rafts and I guess we can't change that part.
But maybe we can find some ropes to connect ourselves
so we don't all drift apart.
And I like to hope that maybe well see enough ropes and rafts that wanna stick around. We can all be connected out on the sea and start up our own little raft town.

And let's not worry about wind and waves they're both something we can bear, because there's strength in numbers and waves would be lucky to come in pairs. As for the wind, well it can blow us wherever
As long as we keep a keen on these ropes we're together.

WE ALL ARE RAFTS
and our words can make ropes
So let's tie off to our hearts and keep this town afloat
and float off.

Lets seek refuge in more rafts and the people they are

We can grow stronger and
Find new places to go
We can get smarter
and think up ways
to make sails and nets
Not just ropes,
because drifting is fine
it keeps us alive
but i think we'd all rather EXPERIENCE Life
not just float.

And There safety in nets
Like there's safety in numbers
As we grow we can spread out
And we can all be each others

we all are something
And that's nothing new.
But I hold in my heart that I and all of you
can be more than just billions of wooden islands drifting alone in infinite blue.

WE ALL ARE SINKING
AND WE HAVE BEEN FOR YEARS
BUT IT'S NOT TO LATE TO CHANGE THAT IF WE CAN MOVE PAST OUR FEAR
OF EACHOTHER

WE ALL ARE DROWNING RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER
WHEN OUR SURFACE AREA TOGETHER COULD OVERCOME THE WEIGHT ON OUR SHOULDERS.

If you carry mine then
I'll carry yours
We can move any direction we want as long as it's forward.

Because humanity has hope
If we are all just rafts and rope
Humanity has oceans of hope
If all we are is just rafts and rope.
